Semi Gloss White Kitchen Cabinets - It's time to take a fresh look at the home design and look at the kitchen cabinet pantry. There was a time when every home was constructed with a big pantry. In lots of dwellings that are average, the pantry was the extent of a small to mid-sized room. Through the years, the pantry disappeared in the average American house. At about the same time, people migrated from rural areas. The migration, greater than a change of address, brought a reversal of lifestyle.
Individuals didn't have space in the suburbs to maintain vegetable gardens or modest family orchards. They stopped growing and canning or freezing their fruits and vegetables. In addition they stopped making their jellies and jams. There was no time for freezing and canning, when Mom began working outside the house. In fact, there was much less time.
Trends in kitchen preferences and house design led to smaller kitchens, bigger major appliances along with a smaller number of cabinets. Shortly people needed more cabinets to keep the food processor, coffee maker, mixer, electric can opener, waffle iron, toaster, etc. As people became invested in preparing meals, the kitchen began to recover its status as the center of family life.
Although designers began to design kitchens that are bigger with space for top-of-the-line appliances, they did not incorporate a kitchen cabinet pantry. Folks today are more active than ever before, doing shopping one more time-consuming chore. Because many people need to shop simply weekly (instead of daily), it seems that the time has come to consider the kitchen cabinet pantry. The kitchen cabinet pantry will come in a range of styles, sizes, woods and shapes.
